Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain Tech: Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats
Cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology enable new ways to transfer value and are bringing about unique new business models to the world. But as with most technological innovation, these new tools also bring risks. This session will cover how criminals and other illicit actors are leveraging crypto/blockchain tools, how financial authorities around the world are working to investigate and counter such use, and the long term security implications of an emerging cryptocurrency ecosystem that operates outside the current financial system.

Mr. Yaya J. Fanusie has brought insights gained as an expert working in the United States against terrorism and illicit finance threats for well over a decade.

Yaya J. Fanusie je direktor analitike v organizaciji Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
